Open awning ideal for 'hidden' installation under eaves
The Sun 3000 drop arm awning is an open awning, meaning it does not have a closed cassette like our Sun 4000 drop arm awning.
This makes the Sun 3000 an affordable drop arm awning suitable for integration into overhangs and buildings where windows are retracted, so the awning is hidden and sheltered in the window niche.
Wind-resistant drop arm awning suitable as a coupled system
The awning comes with spring-loaded arms, ensuring that the awning meets all requirements for strength and function, keeping the fabric stable and taut.
The robust awning construction ensures that the awning sits neatly and stably on the installation site and the awning's front boom fits snugly and elegantly in the cassette.
Coupled systems also have the advantage of being able to run multiple awnings on the same motor, saving the cost of multiple motors and associated electrical work.

Worm gear/rotary handle or motor 230 V. with hand transmitter, wall transmitter or toggle switch.
Steering
All kinds of advanced controls including solar and wind automation, with remote control, wall transmitter or rocker switch.
Frame colors (Roof, front profile and arms)
Natural anodized as standard. Can be painted in all RAL colors at extra cost.
Fabric
Acrylic fabric 300 g/m2 - CLEANGARD special treatment for awnings. Dirt, rot and water resistant.
UV protection level of UPF 25 - 39 corresponding to 96.0% - 97.4%.
Front profile
The awning is made with a small front profile that is prepared for a valance. Available with or without a tongue edge.
Drop arms
Variable drop angle (from 0° to 120°), so you can decide how much sun you want to let in.
Optional extra arms for better stabilization of the awning.
Operation and maintenance
- Functional testing of engine, steering and safety equipment
- Check suspension, fasteners and slats for damage
- Tightening of moving parts
- Clean guide rails and lubricate bearings and sliding brackets if necessary.
