The first Roller Shutter, which prevents against pests
In collaboration with Rentokil, Alux has developed a pest barrier for installation on roller blinds to prevent pests from entering shops and covered outdoor areas.

The problem in the past has been that rodents and pests have been able to easily enter retail spaces, despite the use of roller grilles. They have been able to either sneak under the grille or climb over it via the perforation of the grille profiles.
The pest protection, developed in close collaboration with Rentokil, is a development of our Safe 3000 Roller Shutter, where the lower part of the grille is equipped with a minimum of six aluminum profiles without perforation to prevent rodents from getting a foothold in the holes and climbing up. In addition, a special bottom rail has been developed that incorporates a sectional stainless steel rail that can flex individually to adapt tightly to any surface.
Alux pest protection can be supplied as a closed blind with full slats or with our harlequin grilles if light and air penetration is needed in the center of the blind.
Our pest protection can be implemented on all other blinds as well.
