Innovative Horizontal Roller Shutter from Alux

In the spring of 2024, we received an exciting and challenging assignment: to deliver and install a horizontally moving Roller Shutter that can withstand a load of 1000 kg. Such a solution did not exist on the market, but at Alux we love challenges that require innovative solutions. This task was no exception.

We immediately passed the task on to our skilled development department. With experience from our Safe Pro line, we already had a solid foundation for creating a product that can withstand a significant load. The biggest challenge was to develop a horizontal solution where gravity could not help. This required a specially designed pulling system that could stretch the jalousie mat safely, efficiently and continuously.

To ensure that our solution met the high requirements, we carried out a short but intensive development period. This included several phases of prototyping and extensive testing in our own test area. We had to consider all possible scenarios to ensure that the roller shutter could withstand the extreme loads without compromising functionality or safety.

During development, great attention was paid to material selection and design. The specially designed towing system was crafted to be both robust and reliable so that it could operate efficiently under constant load. Our engineers worked closely with the test team to fine-tune the system and ensure that all components worked harmoniously together.

After a successful test period where the roller blind was subjected to various load tests and functional tests, we were proud to present a finished product. This blind not only met the customer's requirements, but exceeded them by offering extra functionality and improved performance.
