Color & fabric collection for awnings
Our awning fabrics are made from 100% spun-dyed acrylic. They are environmentally friendly impregnated and made from lightfast and weather-resistant acrylic fabric treated with Teflon® nanotechnology for effective water and dirt repellency.

High level of UV protection
All our awnings have a UV protection level of UPF 25 - 39, equivalent to 96.0% - 97.4%. This means you will feel safe and enjoy the summer under the shelter of a FrirumMarkisen. The UPF value of the fabric indicates how much UV solar radiation is absorbed by the material and how great its shielding effect is.
UPF value 30 means that 29/30 of the rays are blocked or absorbed and only 1/30 of the UV radiation penetrates the fabric. The fabric thus offers a protection level of 97%.
Worth knowing
Awning fabrics have great performance and utility value. Despite this, due to technical possibilities and environmental requirements, there are limits to their perfection. Unfortunately, waves/curls cannot be 100% eliminated, here is an overview of what can occur.
Creased folds
Despite the greatest possible care in the processing of the awning fabric, surface effects (pigment shifts) can occur in the fold - especially with light colors - which appear slightly darker (as dirt streaks) or as light streaks (chalk effect) in backlighting.
Waves
Can occur in seam, stitching and web areas due to the multi-layer weave of the fabric and different roll diameters of the awning roller when sewing together. This creates tension in the fabric, which can cause waves in e.g. waffle or herringbone patterns.
In general, effects of varying strengths occur with almost all awning fabrics, but they in no way reduce the quality and durability of the fabric.
Hanging curtain
Can occur between seams and overhang direction and is usually on patio awnings.
