The Sun 5000 articulated arm awning is of the highest quality with a very strong construction and elegant design. Sun 5000 can be made in almost any size and, like very few awnings, Sun 5000 can be supplied with a mechanical valance in the front of the awning to shade the sun when it is low.

Elegant design in durable quality
Sun 5000 is made of a strong aluminum construction The cassette is fully enclosed and protects the electronics and fabric from all kinds of weather, algae and dirt. This extends the lifespan significantly, with an expected lifespan of 20-25 years.
Vario steering wheel
To provide shade from the low sun, the Sun 5000 can be fitted with a Vario Volant, which is an overhang from the front boom of the awning. This can be controlled with a worm gear/gearbox or motor and remote control. The screen can be a regular awning Fabric, but a screen Fabric with transparency can also be purchased.

Quality tested and rated for wind class 2
The Sun 5000 is designed for Danish weather and can handle wind speeds up to 10.6 m/s. The annual average wind speed in Denmark is measured at 3 coastal stations, Skagen Lighthouse, Hvide Sande and Gedser, and ranges from 7.0 to 7.8 m/s.
Create a cozy environment with LED Lights
With Sun 5000 you can create a cozy environment with stepless LED light. This is operated with remote control and app control. The light color is warm white (2700 K). Comes complete with transformer and 400 cm cable. Can be used from -20° to +50°C.

For stepless power, the Somfy Io control system is required. This is operated by remote control or app control and comes complete with transformer and 400 cm cable.

Sun 5000 is mounted with removable brackets, which means that the awning can be fixed wherever there is a sustainable surface. Can be mounted or two or more brackets depending on width and the location and nature of the ground.
Inclination can be adjusted from 5 to 45 degrees, recommended is min. 14 degrees, for optimal water drainage.
