Proud Delivery for the Office Building of the Future

At Alux, we have proudly designed, delivered and installed 374 facade blinds for DFDS' new domicile at Marmormolen in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. Our comprehensive sun protection solution also includes interior screens, which together contribute to an optimal indoor climate and energy efficiency.

An Architectural Masterpiece in Nordhavn

DFDS' new headquarters, designed by Sweco Architects, is an impressive building that combines modern architecture with sustainable solutions. The building is located on Marmormolen and has a stunning view of the harbor, making it a significant landmark in the area.

Innovative solar shading solutions from Alux

To achieve an optimal balance between natural light and solar shading, we chose to install façade blinds that effectively regulate the amount of sunlight entering the building. These blinds can be automatically adjusted to adapt to changing light conditions, which both improves the working environment and reduces energy consumption for cooling.

Interior Screens for Increased Comfort

In addition, we installed interior screens that further improve comfort by reducing glare and protecting against UV rays, while preserving views of the surrounding landscape.

DFDS' headquarters was named Office Building of the Year by Nohrcon in 2023. This prestigious award recognizes the building's outstanding design, innovative solutions and sustainable initiatives.
